Medical hosiery is 20-30 or 30-40 mmHg — prescription-strength, usually beige and ribbed, and made for diagnosed conditions like DVT, varicose veins, or recovery from surgery. PILIXA is under 20 mmHg — daily-wear compression for healthy adults who stand all day. If you've been diagnosed with a circulation condition, follow your doctor, not us.
Probably a little less than someone who stands 8+ hours a day. PILIXA is built for people who put real hours on their feet — retail floors, restaurants, kitchens, hospitals, classrooms, salons, warehouses, garages. If you sit at a desk, you'll feel a mild improvement. If you stand all day, you'll feel a big one.
Most people feel it on their first shift — lighter legs by hour 6, less heaviness when they sit down. The bigger change — no more post-work crash, faster recovery between shifts — usually settles in by week 2 or 3 of daily wear.
At under 20 mmHg, side effects are rare for healthy adults. If you ever feel numbness, tingling, or notice skin discoloration, take the sock off — that almost always means a sizing issue. Free exchange for the first 90 days.
Most everyday "compression" socks hide their squeeze number — they say "moderate" or "firm" and you have no idea what's actually happening to your leg. Most don't use real merino wool because it's expensive. Most don't have a structured calf band, so they slip by hour 4. PILIXA shows the exact squeeze (under 20 mmHg, pressure-tested every batch), uses 30% premium merino, and the calf band holds for the full shift.
Yes. PILIXA is crew-height with a premium look — works under slacks, in service shoes, with boots, in clogs. They do not look like medical hosiery.
Yes. PILIXA is a non-medical comfort sock — it doesn't interact with anything you're taking. It works with orthotic insoles too; the arch knit hugs the foot, it doesn't override an insole.

Yes. Every production batch is pressure-tested for gradient accuracy under 20 mmHg, and for what's actually in the fabric. The number on the label is the number on your leg.
Yes, and it's simple: machine wash cold (inside out), do not bleach, tumble dry low, do not iron, do not dry clean. Skip the fabric softener too — it coats merino fibers and kills the sweat-wicking. Follow those five rules and the squeeze on wash 100 is the squeeze on wash 1.
30% merino wool, 45% nylon, 25% polyester. The merino is the comfort half — it pulls sweat off your skin, holds its temperature, and keeps the end-of-day smell out of your shoes. The nylon and polyester are the durability half — they're what let the sock keep its shape and its gradient through a full work week, every week. A sock that's mostly wool feels great for a month and then bags out at the ankle; this blend is built to survive the wash.
